Chocolates, Camera and ACTION!!!
On a bright and sunny afternoon in March, two of us from Gabriella’s Team set out to do our Deli Deliveries in Cape Town.
Having planned an effective root covering all of Cape Town, we got ready for a timely departure.
Gabriella, our amazing big hearted Newfoundland, stood by and helped us counting the boxes of treats and over seeing our packing strategy. She seemed to think that we had done a mighty fine job, and that we were finally ready to deliver! Gabriella is very fond of spoiling people because of her loving, Newfy nature and as Easter was coming up shortly she whispered in our ears before we left: “Don’t forget to spoil our friends out there in Shopville. There are some yummy chocolates in the cupboard.”
So David quickly went to look for these treats that Gabz had told us about.
Low and behold there were 4 big boxes of Lindt chocolate that the Easter bunny had dropped off for us in advance. Maybe Gabz had tipped her off that we would have a nice big delivery close to Easter?
So off we went with our boxed up deliveries that had been okayed by Gabriella as well as our delishous Easter Chocolates.
We hit the Southern suburbs timeously but never forgetting to hand out our Easter presents to the shop’s smiling staff.
You should have seen their faces light up when they saw that we were handing out delightful little choccies. Luckily I had my camera as some of the shop’s staff posed for the “paprazzi” to take their picture holding their nice little choccies.
After getting through the Soutern Suburbs quite easily and quickly we headed off to Cape Town to do more deliveries.
With a quick stop for lunch at Cassis (yummy!) in Gardens Centre after delivering to the Vetshop there, we headed down to the other shops in Seapoint. “Quick and easy when two people do deliveries!” David said. I know I’d get into quite a frenzy if I had drive through Cape Town alone, I thought to myself.
Delivering to the shops in Town we were, yet again, met with such delight when we arrived at the shops, not only with doggy treats but with human treats for Easter. I went trigger happy with my camera, taking photo’s of the staff not only happily holding the chocolate but instantly eating it too, some chocolates you just can’t resist!
So Cape Town’s deliveries were finally done and we headed along the atlantic Coastal road onwards to Hout Bay. The streets and beaches were packed of summery people celebrating the up and coming long week end which meant that the Easter holiday was drawing closer!
There was a jazzy saxophonist basking in the streets. Feeling in the easter spirit I threw a chocolate towards him and he thanked us by bowing low then pitching a high note on his sax towards our car! What a lovely cheery fellow. That made us smile. We reached our destinations in good time and delivered their goods.
All was well with the world thanks to Gabriella’s clever idea of surprising our customers with a little ball of delightful chocolate. It just goes to show that even something small like a chocolate can make some one smile…
Take a leaf out of Gabz’s book and remember that even the smallest kind gestures can bring a lot of joy. Remember to also surprise your four-legged friends with some of Gabriella’s Treats. Look for your closest shop on our site (stockists URL) and make your friends smile!
Happy Easter, From Gabz and her Team.
Ps Look out for us once a month when we do our ‘special spoiling you’ deliveries
